Something's Fishy - Japanese Washi Pendants

Here are some of the more recent necklaces for sale in my Etsy shop.  These are made using genuine Japanese washi paper, and supplies bought from CandyTiles2, also on Etsy.  She's a great supplier, particularly for purchasing supplies in smaller quantities for wholesale prices.

As you can see, these are really cute little necklaces. Koi are revered in Japan for their strength and courage in the face of adversity. They swim against the current (even up waterfalls), and don't give up no matter what pushes against them. They are really popular tattoo motifs... now you don't have to ink your body to show your affinity for these regal fish!

Each pendant is secured in a sterling plated pendant tray. They are water resistant but not waterproof and should not be worn while bathing or swimming!

Do you have any tattoos? What are your favorite motifs or themes? Overcoming adversity? Beauty? Family history? Religious symbols?

Please visit our Etsy store for all kinds of upcycled accessories and jewelry, handcrafted in Hawaii!
